Howzer

Introducing Howzer, a seasoned Twitch streamer with years of experience on the platform. Having joined Twitch back in the Justin.Tv days, Howzer had the unique opportunity to observe and learn from the platform's growth. Currently boasting 3.7k followers, Howzer's dedication to the game Stream Raiders has allowed him to engage with his community and share his passion for a variety of other games on his channel. I had the pleasure of meeting Howzer through this interactive game, and in this article, we'll delve into the story of this successful small streamer.

Howzer's love for streaming started at an early age. He had a deep passion for gaming, which he developed as a child. "My family couldn't afford many expensive things, so when my father brought home a Pong game, I was ecstatic," Howzer recalls. He spent hours playing Pong until his family finally bought an NES system. Howzer's parents, who had a religious household, found a non-licensed Nintendo game called Bible Adventures, which he was insistent on beating. This love for gaming stayed with Howzer throughout his life and eventually led him to the streaming world. After being an avid viewer of streams for years, Howzer began officially streaming in 2017. When asked about his journey into streaming, he says, "I've always had a deep passion for streaming, and I've explored that for the last 10 years of my life."

During my interview with Howzer, I asked him about the biggest challenges he's faced while streaming. After some thought, he responded that he doesn't consider streaming to be a particularly physically demanding business, as it mainly involves sitting down in front of a computer and playing games. However, he did acknowledge the mental challenges involved, explaining that there are many small obstacles that need to be overcome in order to achieve success as a streamer. He added that each of these challenges is equally important, and that overcoming them is crucial to reaching one's goals. As an example, he talked about how difficult it was for him to find artists who could help him create emotes and other artwork for his stream. In the past, he had to either spend a lot of money on professional artists or rely on word-of-mouth recommendations from others. Over time, he taught himself how to create his own artwork, which was a small but necessary step in building his stream amongst other challenges.

Howzer's love for his two Dachshunds shines through in his streams, as he incorporates a special dog cam to give his viewers a glimpse into his personal life. By sharing this part of his life, Howzer aims to foster close connections with his community. He believes that building relationships with viewers is easier when streamers are open about their personal lives. "It's like running into someone on the street," he explains. "You start by saying hello, and after some time, you begin to form a bond and learn more about each other." For small streamers struggling to gain viewers, Howzer's advice is to be proactive and engage with the community. He recommends starting conversations, making friends, and building lasting relationships. As a small streamer, it's easier to focus on one conversation at a time and connect with viewers on a deeper level, which can ultimately help grow your channel.

When asked about his future goals, Howzer expressed his interest in expanding his community, Gee Gaming. As stated in his Twitch about section, Gee Gaming is a community of positive and non-toxic individuals who are always looking for new members. For Howzer, growing this community is important as he recognizes how easy it is to connect with people who share similar interests on Twitch. Another goal of his is to attend TwitchCon 2023, which will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada in October. By going to the event, Howzer looks forward to meeting the people he has formed connections with in real life, taking his online community to the next level.

Howzer's final advice is to focus on having fun while streaming. He warns against getting too caught up in viewer numbers and emphasizes the importance of networking and making friends on Twitch. "Success can come and go quickly on Twitch," he says, "so enjoy the journey and the people you meet along the way." Howzer's experience is a testament to the fact that streaming can be a fulfilling hobby and a great way to make lasting connections with others.

In conclusion, Howzer's journey on Twitch is a testament to the potential of streaming as a means of building a community and forming lasting connections with others. From his early days as a viewer to his current position as a successful small streamer, Howzer has learned the value of perseverance and the importance of engaging with his audience on a personal level. He has faced many challenges along the way, from finding artists to help create emotes to building his own community from scratch, but has never lost sight of the joy of streaming and the opportunities it presents. By staying true to his passion for gaming and his love for his two Dachshunds, Howzer has built a community of positive, non-toxic individuals who share his interests and his values. His advice to other small streamers is to focus on building lasting relationships with their audience, and to remember that success on Twitch is as much about the journey as it is about the destination. As Howzer himself has shown, with dedication and hard work, anything is possible on Twitch.
