"Back in 2015, I got really into gaming. I started watching YouTube videos and I honestly didn’t know streaming was a thing. I started seeing people say 'you can watch me stream here' and I started watching call of duty tournaments. It was something I’ve always really wanted to do," Conrad says. These were the initial actions that brought Connietsunami1 his 255 followers he has today.

Follow for follow culture is really big in a small streaming space. It’s kind of just figuring out who is there for their personal gain and if they’re there for friendship. I don’t know if you can overcome that," he says. Despite these challenges, Conrad has persevered and has grown into a successful streamer with a dedicated following. He has made true connections with those that he knows supports him, along with him supporting them.
One of Conrad's earliest memories of gaming is playing Donkey Kong 64 on the Nintendo 64 with his brother. "One that I remember vividly is Donkey Kong 64 for the Nintendo 64. My brother got it for Christmas when we were kids and that was the first one I remember playing for a long time," he recalls. Despite his success as a streamer, Conrad admits that it can be hard to express his true personality on streams. "I am actually really laid back and easy going. Sometimes it’s really hard for me to express that on stream," he says. "I just wish people would realize that I’m not as serious as I sometimes respond." Conrad explains how sometimes when there’s a hot topic in his chat, his tone may turn to be more serious. He wants his audience to recognize that isn’t his entire personality.

"The most important people are my family, my fiance and definitely my 2-year-old daughter," he says. "My family is very supportive and same as my fiance." Conrad's fiance can't make it to every stream, but she is supportive of his passion. "She can’t make it to every stream, but when she can she’s definitely there," he says. Conrad's brother is also a big influence in his life and career. "My brother is really involved in it, he’s the one that got me into gaming," Conrad says. "He is in every stream constantly giving me ideas and constantly keeping me going." Conrad emphasizes the importance of making everyone feel welcome and engaging with his viewers. "Making sure everyone feels welcome, and saying hi to everybody," he says.

He believes that "You have a chance to make people’s days and to forget about all the horrible (stuff) going on." However, he acknowledges that there are also "a lot of people who want to spread hate. They want to be mean for no reason." To ensure he is ready for his streams, Conrad says "The only thing I make sure I do before I stream is eat. I used to not and I would stream, so now I just make sure I have something in me before I play."

Although he tried to stick to a schedule for a while, Conrad says "I tried to do a schedule for a bit, but it’s not how I feel streaming is fun for me." He adds, "There’s nothing wrong with (taking a break). I kind of experience (streaming burn out) now so I go live on a whim." and stresses that "If you take one extra day off, your viewers will understand and support you no matter what. In the long run it’s going to help you."
Conrad has set his sights on growing his presence on Twitch. He hopes to hit 500 followers, but more importantly, he aims to become a Twitch partner in the long term. To make this happen, he plans to start streaming more consistently and with a clear purpose.
